Why I started Sol & Away.
I was born and raised in Spain, but Glasgow has been home for many years. Living between two countries has given me something I never expected: the chance to see travel from both sides.
I've watched so many people fall in love with Spain — but I've also seen how many only ever experience the same resorts, the same package holidays, the same places everyone else visits. The Spain I know is different. It's the family-run restaurant with no English menu, the quiet cove you stumble across after taking a wrong turning, the local festival that becomes the highlight of your trip because someone told you it was worth staying an extra day. That's the Spain I love sharing.
My path into travel took me through a degree in Tourism Management and a Master's in International Event Management — but what matters most to me isn't the qualifications, it's helping people experience a destination in a way that feels personal.
